The Backbone
SiteSouth operates from two carrier neutral facilities offering our clients a world class infrastructure for internet services. Both data centers provide our clients with quality tier 1 resources for secure primary or secondary data center hosted services.
Our primary facility is located in Atlanta, Georgia. The facility is a fully dedicated telecommunication interconnect facility located in the heart of Atlanta's Northside business district. We operate multiple fiber lines to 56 Marietta St. and 260 Williams St. two of the richest Fiber interconnect networks in the Eastern United States. 56 Marietta is only behind New York's 60 Hudson and 111 8th Avenue in the United States for the amount of Lit Metro Fiber, Long Haul and Bandwidth.
OurAtlanta facility provides multiple carriers using its own multihoned BGP4 routing system with multiple GigE bandwidth to our quality providers. The network is 100% fiber based.
Our second facility is located in the Las Vega. The data center is a state of the art facility and is one of the leading Disaster Avoidance data centers in North America. The facility has over 20 service providers and provides our clients with a secure primary or secondary data center.
SiteSouth brings bandwidth into its data centers from multiple dedicated nodes inside each of the providers facilities. We constantly monitor bandwidth usage and add bandwidth as needed to make sure that there is enough to satisfy peak times and bursting. By having excess capacity, we ensure that new customers do not come onto an oversubscribed network. We use BGP4 technology between our peering points at our data center, reducing the risk that our network experiences any downtime. Each data center shares a number of common bandwidth providers but also has at least 2 unique providers so that at no time is the network dependant on any single bandwidth provider.
Can we guarantee 100% uptime? Quite simply, no. Any quality provider will tell you that's impossible. But at SiteSouth we have built a quality system and have implemented procedures to provide the best possible system and potential uptime there is.
Bandwidth Providers
Quality bandwidth is the keystone of our hosting services. We do not operate on oversubscribed, poorly designed, transmission services. Our connectivity is via our buildings carrier-neutral Meet Me Room with over 40 carriers. Our primary carrier is InterNap. InterNap provides services throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. With data centers and POP in 23 major cities worldwide InterNap provides exceptional distribution and direct peering to all major backbones. Our secondary bandwidth providers include PCCWBTN, GLBX and Cogent. Our internal Meet Me Room is connected to additional tier 1 service providers for further fallover protection. We have bandwidth capabilities beyond our needs at any time.

Network Equipment
For primary core backbone routing we use multiple Cisco BGP4 core routers. For aggregation and customer distribution layers we use redundant Cisco routers with switching technology.
All Facilities
World class telecommunication/interconnect colocation facilities with 24 hour access with lobby security and separate NOC security, card key access, CCTV, biometric scanning, battery backup, standby generators, pre-action, dry pipe sprinkler system and multiple Liebert A/C units maintaining a climate of 72 degrees (+/- 5) and 30-60% humidity, N+1 redundancy. We use multiple Liebert UPS systems for our Uninterruptible Power Supply.
Quality of Service
Frustrations based on lack of bandwidth are a thing of the past with SiteSouth. We offer the greatest value for your business dollar. By that, we mean you actually get the bandwidth you are paying for. Other ISPs build their network by over-subscribing bandwidth to increase profitability. The same bandwidth is actually shared by several customers. SiteSouth recognized this dishonest practice and started out determined to offer quality dedicated bandwidth at a reasonable price. We guarantee every megabit of bandwidth we sell is dedicated to the customer to which it was sold. Getting exactly what you paid for means you get your moneys worth: every penny.
